RECO will be posting three Information Guides on its website concerning:
- General Information for Consumers
- Designated Representation (Agents), and
- Self-Represented Parties
The purpose is to ensure that the public has some basic knowledge about the industry.
When these situations present themselves, a registrant is charged with the obligation to ensure that the consumer is fully informed, has read the necessary documents, understands the information, and consents to proceeding in an appropriate and authorized manner.

Yes, we Realtors are once again responsible to ensure the public understands something that the Regulator has not defined clearly.
