This seems interesting and rather unusual.
The average price for a home in Mississauga was $996,259 in February 2024, according to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. That’s down 5 per cent or $52,399 from January 2024 and down 1.3 per cent or $13,544 compared to February 2023.
There were 475 home sales after an average of 26 days on the market and 953 active listings at the end of February. Sales were up 24 per cent and active listings were up 24.1 per cent compared to a year ago.
Detached houses (↘) averaged $1.5 million, down 6.1 per cent or $97,993 month-over-month and down 2.9 per cent or $45,445 year-over-year. There were 146 detached house sales and after an average of 20 days on the market and 262 active listings at the end of the month.
The ordinary expectation would be for Mississauga prices to be generally aligned with the rest of the GTA. However, sometimes the sample sizes are just too small to provide an in depth insight.
