Question:
When listing a lease, do you get them to sign a Working with a Realtor (WWR) Form 810?
Answer:
WWR is a strange document and doesn’t meet the requirements of disclosure specified in the Listing Agreement. But, other than that, I suppose that’s all there is, unless you prepared your own.
The Listing Agreement states that:
- You explained sub-agency,
- You provided a written document which explained sub-agency.
In all likelihood, you didn’t explain sub-agency and the WWR Form doesn’t cover it either.
NOTE: This document was replace witb the RECO Information Guide unnder TRESA effective 1 December 2023, however neither of the issues addressed here were covered under the new Guide.

I now strike out buyer and seller for leases and insert ahead of the names landlord and tenant

It was always a little cavalier to refer to landlords and tenants as buyers and sellers.
How often does sub-agency even happen today?
