Question:
My listing in Ontario recently sold and closed and the new owners have emailed me requesting, “the removal of all photographs and virtual tours associated with the listing from all platforms and databases where they are published or stored.”
I do not believe that it is possible however any additional insight would be appreciated.
Answer:
If the Seller signed the standard MLS then the pictures posted are there and cannot be removed.
The access and storage of the files could be done in a jurisdiction outside of Canada and there is no control, so, that’s a problem.
When you take down your own pictures from other sites, those are still there and can be viewed by those who have the skills to view them. Not much the Buyer can do other than renovate.
