RECO has just indicated that it is reviewing claims quickly and expects payments to be made within months rather than years, as had been the case previously with prior claims.
Each claim must be reviewed meticulously in order to ensure compliance with the entitlement for payment.
I am hopeful that any new files after RECO became involved on 24 May 2025 were isolated and not simply thrown into the same account. They were supervised by RECO from 24 May to 24 August, three full months and all those funds should be intact, meaning that all commissions during that time period should be paid in full. Any intermixing would be risky and foolhardy, so I wouldn’t imagine that happened. It should be noted in Dentons’ Interim Report which went to the Ministry 30 September and apparently is not being released publicly at this time.
The final report from Dentons due 30 October 2025, is due for public release following a review by the Ministry.
