Question:
Can someone from another brokerage do an open house for you?
Answer:
This has been the case for 30 years. There are no recent changes and nothing to do with TRESA. The simple answer is “no”. The more complicated answer is “yes”, provided the Seller has signed a co-listing contract.
This means that the Seller has to agree to the other Brokerage.
There will have to be a listing contract signed. That would be sufficient, or it could be a listing agreement identifying reduced services.
An arrangement which would work and involve fewer headaches would be a sub-agency agreement. The Seller must consent to this arrangement.
