The Mississauga and Peel Region housing market showed signs of stabilization in June 2026, with modest month-over-month price gains and stronger sales activity. While average home prices remain below last year’s levels, improving sales and a decline in active listings suggest that market conditions may be becoming more balanced.
According to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB), the average selling price for a home in Peel Region reached $966,024 in June 2026. This represents an increase of 1.0% ($10,005) compared to May 2026, but remains 4.9% ($49,488) lower than June 2025.
A total of 1,167 homes changed hands during the month after an average of 29 days on the market. At month-end, there were 5,189 active listings across the region. Compared to June 2025, sales increased by 8.2%, while inventory declined by 14.3%, reflecting stronger buyer activity and tightening supply.

Considerations
June’s results point to a market that continues to adjust following the extraordinary conditions of recent years. While most property types remain below their June 2025 price levels, improving sales activity and declining inventory indicate renewed confidence among buyers.
For both buyers and sellers, understanding local market trends remains essential. Pricing strategy, property type, neighbourhood conditions, and inventory levels continue to play an important role in determining market outcomes in today’s evolving real estate environment.
