This is another Lockbox case. The code was given by the Buyer’s agent to the Buyer and the agent didn’t attend or accompany the client.

3. A registrant shall treat every person the registrant deals with in the course of a trade in real estate fairly, honestly and with integrity.

Unprofessional conduct, etc.

39. A registrant shall not, in the course of trading in real estate, engage in any act or omission that, having regard to all of the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded as disgraceful, dishonourable, unprofessional or unbecoming a registrant.

COMMENT

The RECO Discipline Committee must be getting very used to these cases. It’s simple for RECO to bring a complete end to this. Obviously, they don’t really care. The money is good and it’s regular.

RECO needs to step up to the plate:

Issue a Bulletin: this will no longer be tolerated

Minimum Fine: $25,000

Suspension: 6 months

Second Offence: 5 years suspension

If RECO did that, it would be all over in one month!
