Insulation Upgrade
If you have icicles on the roof, this basically means that you have either poor ventilation or poor insulation.
The heat from the house is esaping. It’s melting the snow on top of your roof. That water is now running down to the edge and the eavestrough. At this point, it will freeze, causing icicles.
So, be careful and upgrade your ventilation and insulation.
